Biography

Isabel Novela is a Singer born in Mozambique. She developed an interest for music from a very tender age, and decided to follow it, she grew up in a musical family listening to classical, traditional and western music. Isabel spent part of her life in Europe ( Holland ) studding jazz and performing with NecoNovellas her family band formed by 5 brothers from the same family( Novela ).

Recently back to Africa ( Mozambique ) she formed her own band and has been performing her original compositions through stages in Mozambique showing what she learned and making fusion of her Mozambican ( African ) roots with all influences she has experienced through the years.

This is the project proposed to bring to South Africa & the world .

Objectives

” ‘Cause we are Africans & we are doing it from the Soul “… — I always say.
Isabel left Mozambique in 2005 to Holland. From there her growth as a Human being and artist never stopped. Isabel has as objective of this tour :

• Present her Music to South Africa & the World
• Inspire new generations
• Establish contact with artists based in South Africa & rest of the world

This objectives will be reached based on the different activities, all of them based on interaction.

Isabel sings in Changana, Chope, Portuguese and english.
Isabel’s program in South Africa is composed by:

• Free concerts
• Workshop with artists and in schools for kids
• Search of contacts and Exchange of experience with other artists.:

Isabel proposes to make concerts in live music venues in South Africa and Surrounds. The performances can be of 45 to 120 min depending on the venues and programs. The set list is composed by her original compositions arranged by the band and few covers of African songs.
